Applications to An Bord Pleanála (ABP) for Approval
The National Transport Authority (NTA) have given notice of their applications under Section 51(2) of the Roads Act 1993 (as amended) to An Bord Pleanála for approval in relation to a proposed road development consisting of the construction of the Belfield/Blackrock to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme and the Clongriffin to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme. Formal statutory public consultation processes have been triggered in respect of these schemes, with any submissions to be made directly to An Bord Pleanála for its consideration. To view further details on these schemes click on the drop down arrow above.
As part of the application processes, comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Reports have been published and are available for inspection (including online) or purchase, in addition to Compulsory Purchase Orders and Natura Impact Statements. Furthermore, statutory notices were published in national and local newspapers. The public now has the formal opportunity to have their views heard and considered by An Bord Pleanála as part of the statutory consultation process to inform An Bord Pleanála’s assessment of these Core Bus Corridor schemes.
It is our intention to submit the schemes on a phased basis with the next four schemes likely to be submitted in the order shown below:
Blanchardstown to City Centre CBC Scheme (in June);
Liffey Valley to City Centre CBC Scheme;
Ballymun/Finglas to City Centre CBC Scheme;
Ringsend to City Centre CBC Scheme.
