Applications to An Bord Pleanála (ABP) for Approval
The National Transport Authority (NTA) have given notice of their applications under Section 51(2) of the Roads Act 1993 (as amended) to An Bord Pleanála for approval in relation to proposed road developments consisting of the construction of the Swords to City Centre, Tallaght / Clondalkin to City Centre, Templeogue / Rathfarnham to City Centre, Lucan to City Centre, Ballymun/Finglas to City Centre, Liffey Valley to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme, Blanchardstown to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme, the Belfield/Blackrock to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme and the Clongriffin to City Centre Core Bus Corridor Scheme. Formal statutory public consultation processes were triggered in respect of these schemes. To view further details on these schemes click on the drop down arrow above.
As part of the application processes, comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Reports have been published and are available for inspection (including online) or purchase, in addition to Compulsory Purchase Orders and Natura Impact Statements. Furthermore, statutory notices were published in national and local newspapers. The public had the formal opportunity to have their views heard and considered by An Bord Pleanála as part of the statutory consultation process to inform An Bord Pleanála. The public consultation period for the Clongriffin to City Centre, Belfield/Blackrock to City Centre, Liffey Valley to City Centre, Ballymun/Finglas to City Centre, Blanchardstown to City Centre and Lucan to City Centre is finished. The public consultation for the Swords, Tallaght / Clondalkin and Templeogue / Rathfarnham to City Centre schemes is currently open and all submissions can be made to An Bord Pleanála.
It is our intention to continue the submission of the Core Bus Corridor schemes on a phased basis to An Bord Pleanála.
